Russian nesting doll (Russian: матрёшка; Matryoshka doll is a Russian specialty wooden toy, usually composed of multiple hollow wooden dolls with the same pattern, one set at a time, up to more than ten, usually cylindrical, with a flat bottom that can stand upright. Colors include red, blue, green, purple, etc. The most common pattern is a girl wearing Russian ethnic clothing, named Matroshka, which has become a common name for this type of doll.
In the 14th century, it originated in the ancient Russian town of Zagorsk, 70 kilometers south of Moscow( Загорск) The nesting doll has been loved by children and adults from various countries due to the exquisite carving and painting skills of generations of craftsmen, as well as the accumulation of Russian national culture.
